Why this book? From Ender, this novel’s protagonist, is shed a long shadow, kilned from great pressure and awareness of the forces that make him who he is. I have found that to stand next to that shadow and compare my own height in relation to his trials is a brave and daunting task necessary to the forces that make me. Ender’s Game is a book for all those who seek truths of childhood and the pain of loss.
