Anthony H. Prince, Jr.

Title: 1984
Student: Anthony Prince Jr.
Why this Book? I first read this book early in high school and, obviously, loved it. It affected me like no other book(with the possible exception of Go, Dog, Go). For sometime afterward, I read as many dystopias as I could find. Although I’m sure I romanticize it now(which isn’t a bad thing), I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say that the themes and ideas at the heart of this book were the beginning of every intellectual and academic pursuit of my life. I guess what I am trying to say is, “Thanks, George.”
