Title: The Great Divorce, a dream
Student: Michael Wurzbacher
Why this book? C.S. Lewis is one of the greatest minds of the 20th century. The Great Divorce paints a beautiful picture of our freedoms, choices, and consequences within the lens we call Time. It presents a version of an afterlife that seems well thought out, incredibly plausible, and explains many complex church teachings in a simple and concise fashion. The struggle of the conflicted narrator strongly resembles the journey of mankind in trying to reach a state of true reality. I would heavily recommend this book to anyone seeking out answers to life’s heavy questions which Lewis presents in a smart, easy to read classic novel.
