Why this book? Neil Gaiman has inspired me throughout my life ever since I read Coraline for the first time when I was twelve years old. I have a signed copy of American Gods in which Mr. Gaiman wrote “Believe!” and any time I am not feeling at my best I can think of that sentiment written by my favorite author in my favorite novel and it never fails to make me feel better.
