Title: The Handmaid’s Tale/Margaret Atwood
Student: Mercedes Hopewell
Why this book? The Handmaid’s Tale will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the first dystopian novel I ever read. Before this novel I never thought I would enjoy science fiction or dystopian novels. The Handmaid’s Tale opened up a whole new world of books to me. Every time I read this novel I find new deeper meanings within the text. I catch things I did not understand the first time. As the years progress I find The Handmaid’s Tale an ever important document in my life.
