Why this book? When I try to explain where my home is, I always ask, “Have you ever been to Mammoth Cave? Well, I’m about thirty minutes down the road from there.” This book showcases many of the places, caves and history I grew up with which has helped me to become the explorer, adventurer and history nut that I am today. While working at the Science Library during my four years at UK, I loved coming across maps and books related to my home and this book helped me to have a little piece of home where I worked.
