Title: Graphic Medicine Manifesto
Author: MK Czerwiec, et al
Student: Matthew Noe
Why this book?: When I began my graduate studies in library science, I was more than a little uncertain about where I was going until I discovered the idea of using comics in medical care. This relatively new field has opened numerous opportunities going forward as a librarian and this inaugural text outlines the principles of the field and provided a strong foothold for me to begin my own research. I foresee this becoming a much-cited and critical part of any comic studies and/or medical humanities collection moving forward.
