Why this book? This is a book that I finished in the final semester of my college experience (Spring 2018). It has quickly become one of my favorite books of all time and seems to encapsulate many of the things that I love about life. Victor Hugo not only provides the reader with an amazing story and a full education, but he also provides a powerful message to anyone who would be fortunate enough to read this book. Les Miserables has helped me develop a better idea of what it means to live a meaningful life and what it means to help others do the same.
