Why this book? I am interested in the history of the last decades of the empires of China. I have been learning about Chinese dynasties. Manchu is an ethnic that ruled China for a long time, Manchu ethnic is similar to Mongolian ethnic, and is one of the fifty-six ethnics of China. However, Manchu ethnic has been losing their language, culture and melting into Han, which is the biggest ethnic that takes up 96% of the population of China. So, I have an interest to explore the Manchu.
