Alexander Eberle
Title: A Sand County Almanac, and Sketches Here and There
Author: Aldo Leopold; Illustrated by Charles W. Schwartz
Student: Alexander Eberle
Why this book? I was first introduced to Aldo Leopold’s writing in a conservation biology class. I found Leopold’s essays on The Land Ethic to be incredibly inspiring. Leopold’s approach to land management was far ahead of his time. His writings will continue to frame how I think about humanity’s responsibility as stewards for the environment long after I graduate.
