April Kannady
Title: The Sandman, vol. 10
Author: Neil Gaiman
Student: April Kannady
Why this book? The entire series of The Sandman has remained vividly in my mind ever since I read it about four years ago, but this particular volume is the one that has truly stuck with me. It is the last volume in the series, and it deals with not only death, but change. It is a farewell, but also a new beginning, which is exactly what this moment in my life is about. The following quote is one of my favorites: “Sometimes you wake up. Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly.”
