Title: The Book of Margery Kempe
Author: Margery Kempe, translated & edited by Lynn Staley
Student: Madison Justice
Why this book? This is one of the books that helped get me really interested in medieval literature, which I will continue studying in my masters program. I have read a great deal of scholarship about it and written multiple papers with it as the focus, including my graduate school writing sample. It has been such an important part of my undergraduate academic career, and I always love reading about Margery’s odd escapades.
