Rachel Wheatley
Title: Little Women: an annotated edition
Author: Louisa May Alcott
Student: Rachel Wheatley
Why this book? Little Women is one of those books that I have read several times over the years and still enjoy like it was my first time. My mother recommended this book to me when I was younger, and it was always a book we enjoyed discussing together. Little Women provided a view into the inner workings of family, highlighting how the strengths of one character complimented the weaknesses of another. The March family fit together like a puzzle, much how I see my family today. When the movie version was released, we went to the movies together to watch it. Little Women just reminds me of home and of happy memories with my mother.
