Title: I Want My Hat Back
Author: Jon Klassen
Student: Duong Hoang
Why this book? My supervisor, Jeretta Robinson, suggested this book to me to try reading when I had trouble choosing my favorite book from the Education Library collection for our library’s display during my sophomore year. It has been my favorite among the collection since then. To me, the story is very subtle but not predictable if I don’t pay enough attention. I also like the little ‘dark’ humor ending of the book. Additionally, I love the illustration of the book a lot as it manages to express the emotion of the characters through their eyes despite only using simple drawing lines.
