Title: The Red Pyramid
Why I choose this book: This book was my first introduction to mythology books other than the Percy Jackson series. I had always loved learning about egyptian mythology, so reading a fictional retelling of it felt educational as well as inspirational. When I started working at the Education Library, I begged my boss to order the entire Kane Chronicles to the library.
