Why this book? This was my favorite book as a child and I have read it countless times. In my middle school library class I got to “adopt a shelf” to keep clean and organized and I picked my shelf because it had this book on it and I kept it as my shelf for 4 years. It is a very nostalgic book for me and is my first experience tied to a library, so it feels almost full circle to pick this as my book.
