Why this movie? Funny Girl provided a road map for my determination to stand out among the chorus line in my dance career. Like Fanny Brice, I learned to incorporate comedy into dance and learned to overcome disappointments. I was helped along by the “exceptional few” who helped me to become a “star.” To the countless number of children whom I taught to dance, God bless them for their encouragement and smiles during our brief time together. In my future dance career, I will learn from the great dance masters but will keep the Funny Girl lessons in my heart.
