Ben Carter
Title: The Long-Legged House
Student: Ben Carter
Why this Book? Wendell Berry is the most important writer of the last fifty years. When historians look back on this time in history and lament its excess, selfishness, and quiet desperation, they might find in the writings of Wendell Berry evidence that humility, neighborliness, and hope still remained. This book, about place and decision to return home to Kentucky, is largely responsible for my own desire to return to Kentucky.
