Title: The Lorax
Student: Courtney J. Barlow
Why this Book? The Lorax, being the only Dr. Seuss book I owned as a child, has remained close to my heart well into my adult years. The lessons regarding morals and values through this short yet powerful tale have helped to shape who I am today. Learning to shun greed and over consumption as well to protect the environment and all it’s inhabitants are lessons which are rarely addressed to young audiences but are of great importance to our community. The children throughout the world are our best tool for working towards a sustainable world therefore it is imperative that they are shown the important impacts we all make to our planet!
