Why this book? I was always an avid reader growing up, but stopped as I progressed in school. Once in grad school, I took a children’s literature class and this was the first book I read. I fell in love with it immediately! Addie is a loveable kid and always keeps positive no matter what bad things are going on in her life. This book helped me to become an avid reader again and it solidified my love of working with children and books.
