Title: California Earthquakes: science, risk, and the politics of hazard mitigation/Carl-Henry Geschwind
Student: Heidi P. Hayes
Why this book? My great grandfather lost his parents and sister in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake; he was three at the time. If there is any chance his sister did survive, I would love to one day find her and that part of the family. As a result of personal interest, I enjoy learning what I can about that fateful day.
