Why this book? In my French classes these fables were always my favorite to read. I, myself, enjoyed them. But, they were more enjoyable because of the passion which Dr. Jeffrey Peters and Dr. Jacqueline Couti showed for them. These fables may have been written in the seventeenth century, but there are many things to learn and many fables to enjoy because of Jean de la Fontaine.
