Title: A Rumor of Angels: modern society and the rediscover of the supernatural
Student: Julene Jones
Why this book? This book was invaluable in my master’s research as it wryly outlines how worldviews of any sort are maintained by sociological conversation through “plausibility structures.” Its premise is that belief structures are seen as plausible because they are socioculturally supported, though our increasingly pluralistic society allows for multiple plausibility structures to co-exist.
