Why this film? This film does not relate to my studies at UK, but it does relate to my life.
American Beauty has shaped my personality. It has taught me the value of life and the subsequent devalued goal of materialism. It has shown me that life is not perfect, and that the harder one strives for perfection–the more of life that s/he loses.
American Beauty has allowed me to recognize all beauty in the world. The beauty that comes in unexpected forms, if only the world will “look closer.”
