Why this book? A Ring of Endless Light is a touching, inspiring coming-of-age story that helped shape me as a child. Madeleleine L’engle is a fantastic author who knows how to challenge the values and ideas of young adults through her literature. Her characters are deeply developed because many of them show up in multiple stores to emphasize their relationships with each other, and they became friends to me as an avid reader of her works. The main character, Vicky Austin, was a role model for me as she is considerate, thoughtful, creative, faithful and scientific. This book (and its author) remain the favorite on my bookshelf today!
