Taylor Willett
Author: Anne Rolphe
Student: Taylor Willett
Why this book? I read this book last year to try to better understand my grandmother’s widowhood. I instead found a familiar kinship with Rolphe, particularly in the letting go of certain phases in life and the maneuvering the unknown of new phases. Her story, although set in her 70s, draws many parallels to the story of transitions found at my age and especially the transition I am about to embark on as I set to leave college.
