Student: Hayley Black
Why this book? Robinson’s approach to photography displayed in this book helped to inspire my own artwork. His photographs, so carefully constructed and composed, are reminiscent of impressionist paintings. This clever illusion and refined observation skill Robinson communicated in his book inspired me to look beyond the surface, uncover the inherent layers in every surrounding space, and to try to incorporate that aesthetic into my own artistic endeavors.
