Title: Unbroken: a World War II story of survival, resilience, and redemption
Author: Laura Hillenbrand
Student: Anthony Aquillo
Why this book? Louis Zamperini’s unbelievable story seemed fiction as I progressed through this book. Firsthand accounts from this time period, especially during WWII, fascinate me. For me, the people of this generation were tough, resilient, and just plain badass. This is one of my all-time favorite books, and one that I would recommend to anybody.
