Morgan Lockard
Title: Memoirs of William Temple Withers
Author: (His Daughter) Ida Withers Harrison
Student: Morgan Lockard
Why this book? The first collection that I was hired at Special Collections to process was the Withers family papers. This book not only assisted in the research for the information on the family biography portion but also honors my first processed collection, my first finding aid, and the experience in Special Collections that inspired my career goals. The family is also very interesting and falls within my own historical research interests. I would like to think my time working with these papers and reading this book helped me through the process of choosing what to set my career path on for after graduate school.
