Why this Book? I chose this book because it is one of my favorites. As a beautifully detailed account of the lives of two very different sisters, House depicts life in Eastern Kentucky as no other author could. The story unfolds with great love, soul searching and suffering while presenting wonderful visuals of the brilliant Appalachian Mountains and our Kentucky heritage.
